Scouts and Explorer Scouts (10½ - 18) are invited to get on their bike to compete in a series of challenges including:
- Obstacle course
- Fast race
- Slow race
- Treasure hunt
- Target drop
First Steps will be on hand to teach road safety levels one and two.
Where and when
West Park, Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 6HU, meeting by the bowling greens in the park, near the Walton Street entrance.
15th September 2019, meeting at 9:45am for a 10am start. The event will finish at approximately 2pm.
Cost
This event is free.
What to bring/wear
Scouts and Explorer Scouts will need to bring their bike, as well as a bike helmet. If you do not have a bike but still want to take part, please let Mark Beaumont know when booking, however, there are only a limited number of bicycles and helmets to borrow.
The First Step Cycle Bikeability consent form will also need to be filled in and brought to the event.
When to book
Please let Mark Beaumont know if you’re attending by 7th September, including any adaptations needed for young people with additional needs. Volunteers will also be required to help run the bases; please inform Mark if you can help.
Scouts and Explorer Scouts must have the correct young people to adult ratio; this being 1:12 for Scouts and a minimum of two leaders for Explorer Scouts.
An Activity Notification form must be filled in on or before 8th September. This can be done online at hullscouts.org.uk/activity-form
