This weekend is an opportunity for Explorer Scouts from around Hull to come together for a weekend of activities and compete to be the championship Explorer Scout Unit.
All teams will be responsible for cooking their own meals, and they will have to supply their own meals, including all drinks, barring lunch and the evening meal. The evening meal being cooked on an open fire.
Each team will be required to bring a leader to assist with the running of bases who may stay inside the lodge if preferred. These rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Other leaders may attend on the Saturday and their help would be appreciated.
On the Saturday evening there will be a leaders social evening. All Explorer Leaders whether assisting over the weekend or not are invited to attend but are asked to arrive no later than 19:30
Cost
£30 per team of six explorer scouts.
£10 for volunteers staying the full weekend.
£8 for leaders all day Saturday and overnight.
£5 for leaders at the social and overnight.
What to bring/wear
Each team will need to bring enough equipment to cook and camp, as well as items to build a camp gate and two camp gadgets. Teams will be required to perform a song or sketch at the campfire.
Each team will be required to bring a leader to assist with the running of bases.
When to book
Booking is required by 10th May to Graham Mcfaul.
Payment and any dietary requirements is required by 7th June to Graham Mcfaul.
A Nights Away Notification form must be completed on or before 28th June. This can be completed online here.
