Trinity Cubs visit clough road fire station

This week, the Cubs from Trinity Scout Group had a fantastic opportunity to visit Clough Road Fire Station. It was an evening full of excitement and learning, as the young Scouts discovered the crucial role that the Humberside Fire and Rescue Service plays in keeping our community safe.
During the visit, the Cubs explored the fire station and got a behind-the-scenes look at the daily operations. They chatted with the firefighters, who shared some of their stories. The Cubs were particularly enjoyed trying out some of the firefighting equipment, and learning how each tool is used in emergency situations. The highlight of the evening was definitely getting to sit in the fire engines, which sparked their imagination.
Not only did this evening show the cubs some of the important work that goes on in our community every day but also gave them the opportunity to work towards their fire safety badge. One of the many badges that encourage our young people to learn the skills they will need for life.
Through activities like this, they learn teamwork, communication, and resilience—qualities that will benefit them in all areas of life. By engaging with our local community in Hull we are helping to create a better and brighter tomorrow.
