Support Scouts while having laugh

Scouts Hull

For over 100 years, Scouts have been teaching young people throughout Hull the skills they need for life. The skills to speak up and stand out while being a doer and a give-it-a-goer.

Former Scout Karl Dean is raising money for his former group, Kingston Scout Group, by holding his very own comedy night at Willows Social Club. While we encourage all of our young people to try out mainstream Scouting, we understand that it might not be possible for some. That's why in Hull we have our own group dedicated to supporting young people with additional needs.

Across the group, they have many years of experience supporting young people, whether it be one-to-one support or helping with a specific need. The group works with people aged 8 to 25.

When talking to Hull Live, Karl said, "I got a lot out of going there every week. We met up to learn things like cooking, reading maps, knots, and playing games. We also went on day trips and camping holidays. I loved going camping with the Scouts."

Looking to give back to his community, Karl is holding a comedy night on the 7th of February in support of Kingston Scout Group and St. Martin's. Hosted at Willows Social Club with doors opening from 7pm. Find out more and get your tickets on https://www.jokepit.com/comedy-in/hull/laugh-your-woggle-off/25703 . (This event is for people 18+).
