Squirrels Litter Pick for their Local Superhero Badge
On a sunny evening, Trinity Squirrels, the youngest section of a local scout group, gathered to participate in a litter pick. The activity was part of their local superhero badge requirements, and the Squirrels were excited to show off their skills as superheroes while doing their part to help the environment.
The group was given equipment and high-vis jackets on loan from Hull City Council. The Squirrels were eager to grab their litter pickers, and get to work. They were determined to collect as much litter as possible and make their community a cleaner, better place.
One of the young leaders showed off a bag of litter collected in just one hour, and it was an impressive sight. The Squirrels had found everything from candy wrappers to plastic bottles and cans. They had worked hard and had collected a lot of litter in a short amount of time.
The Squirrels had a great time doing their part to keep the environment clean. They were proud of their efforts and were happy to have contributed to their local community. The activity also taught them valuable lessons about taking care of their environment and working together to make a positive impact.
The scout group expressed their gratitude to Hull City Council for the loan of the equipment and high-vis jackets, which made the activity possible. The support of the council was greatly appreciated and helped to make the event a success.
