Melton Campsite - Open Afternoon

Dear All, 
 
The ‘Trust’ is planning a very informal ‘Open Afternoon’ at Melton on Saturday 2nd September starting 
at 2.pm. 
 
The main point of this is to allow us to officially open the new Warden’s Chalet which is being dedicated 
to the memory of the late ‘Eric Martin’ who spearheaded the transformation of Melton between 2001 
and 2016.  A plaque will be unveiled at or around 3.pm and from henceforth the new building will be 
known as ‘Birdies Nest’. 
 
You are more than welcome to come and join us and have a look around the site and its buildings, tea, 
coffee, juice and biscuits will be on hand should anyone like some refreshment and our ‘souvenir bag’ 
will be available with badges, pens, pencils for sale at very reasonable prices. 
 
Hope you can join us for a couple of hours.
