You have been invited to The Wellies Explorers Nerf Sleepover at St.Matthew’s Parish Hall on Boulevard on Saturday 27th November 2021 to Sunday 28th November 2021. This Sleepover will cost £10 this will include the food for the Explorers and Leaders, the use of the Hall and to replace any Nerf Darts/equipment that end up being damaged. The hall will be open to Explorers and Leaders from 12 noon but they will need to provide their own lunch if not already eaten.
During the day, we will be creating defences to place around the whole building to use during the Nerf Battles. The Explorers and Leaders will be then separated into two teams for the Nerf Battles. We will be doing the battles all day, stopping for tea and then continuing afterwards in the evening. We will be turning out the lights in the building in the evening so torches will be needed to look where you are going. We stop our battles at midnight, pack away all the gear and get ready for sleep.
Those who want to attend the day/evening but not sleepover can do so, the time we will finish for these people is 9pm. Parents can pick their young people up at this time.
If Explorers and Leaders would like to bring their own Nerf Blasters and accessories, then they are very welcome to. We highly recommend marking what is yours on blasters, magazines and accessories so they do not get lost or accidentally taken. We only accept blasters which fire up to 100fps. If you have any modded Nerf Blasters we would recommend you do not bring these to make it fair.
We have N-Strike and Mega darts so please only bring blasters that work with those types of darts (any questions on that please get in contact with the Leader in Charge) there will be a lot of blasters provided which you can use if you do not own one. Explorers and Leaders are NOT to bring their own darts to use, as we cannot guarantee that they will find them at the end of the event and they might get damaged.
All Explorers and Leaders that are participating in the battles will need to wear eye protection at all times during the battles. We only have so many eye protection goggles so if any Explorers or Leaders have their own then it would be amazing if they are able to bring them to use, if anyone wears glasses these will be ok to wear as the darts do not fire hard enough to break/damage glasses. It is also advisable that you wear layered clothing, darts all though they are foam they do hurt especially if multiple people are shooting you at the same time.
In the morning we will have breakfast and finish packing away any more gear. Parents can pick Explorers up at 10am on Sunday 28th November 2021.
The Kit list is provided on the next page along with our Hall Address and the Leader in Charge Details.
Closing Date for this sleepover will be on Thursday 25th November 2021
