Nut Wood Walk

Saturday 7th March 2020

Beaver Scouts are invited to explore Nut Wood

Beaver Scouts are invited explore the footpaths around Nut Wood and take part in a woodland walk. A quiz/worksheet will be available to encourage the young people to keep a look out to see what they can see along the way.

To limit the number of road crossings the decision has been made to start the walk from Little Wauldby Farm (Footpath at end of lane off Great Gutter Lane). There is limited parking on verges along the lane, please encourage people to travel together to ease congestion on the lane when dropping off. This is also important when picking up from Raywell as there is limited parking and also to keep traffic to a minimum whilst Beaver Scouts are moving around the site.

Groups must adhere to the required Ratios 1 adult to 6 Beavers plus the Leader in Charge. Leaders will be responsible for walking with their own Beavers and must wear Hi-Vis jackets when walking along the Road from Nut Wood to Raywell and when crossing the road.
